How to practice

  1. Choose one emotion that you struggle to fully access or feel. Then reflect on the following prompts:
  2. 1. Where do you feel the emotion in your body? 2. What sensations do you associate with it? 3. What thought-loops or beliefs arise with this emotion? 4. How might you describe your relationship to this emotion? 5. Where might you feel safe to express this fully? (e.g., to a certain person or in a place)

Good to know

Note that the emotion you struggle with might be a "positive" one, such as joy or love. These emotions are often just as challenging (if not more so) to fully allow ourselves to experience than "negative" ones.
