Movement Mirror

A partnered exercise to enhance nonverbal connection through synchronized movement.

Recoveryshortgrounding

Why it works

Building your embodied awareness and connection through matched movement enhances your nonverbal communication.

How to practice

Face your partner. Taking turns, one of you leads a slow, simple movement of your choice, while the other mirrors the movement exactly. Do this for 2 minutes, then switch roles. After these 2 minutes, end with a synchronized inhale and exhale.

Good to know

Keep your movements slow and simple. Notice your emotional responses.
