Vagus Nerve Stimulation
A gentle exercise to improve nervous system function through controlled neck movements.
Why it works
Regulating your heart rate variability and reducing your stress response provides relief from screen fatigue and clarity after long periods of focus.
How to practice
Sitting upright, gently look up at a 45-degree angle while slowly turning your head to the right. Hold for 30 seconds and breathe slowly. Return to center, then repeat on your left side. Complete with gentle neck rolls in both directions.
Good to know
Make your movements slow and gentle. If you feel dizzy, reduce the angle or duration. This practice is most effective when combined with slow exhalations during the hold.
