A gentle practice to help you access your inner wisdom and guidance.

Why it works

Accessing your internal wisdom is particularly useful and calming during times of uncertainty or conflict.

How to practice

  1. Find an easeful position and tune into your body.
  2. Ask yourself: "What part of me feels activated right now?" Notice any sensations, emotions, or thoughts that arise.
  3. Acknowledge these with curiosity, saying to yourself: "I see you there friend."
  4. From here, try to "zoom out" and tap into your inner wisdom: an awareness sees all but has no agenda besides loving presence.
  5. If activated parts are reluctant to step back, acknowledge them with: "Thank you for trying to help me. I'm just asking for a little space right now."
  6. From this place, gently ask: "What is true in this moment?" or “What might need to be acknowledged or felt?”
